Last year, my SIL gave my sons the coolest Valentine’s Day gift that she recreated from Family Fun! Oh, she totally inspired me to create a post dedicated to making great Valentine’s gifts from a box of Conversation Hearts.
A box of conversation hearts and two mini peanut butter cups in disguise hit all the right notes for a tune-loving babysitter or pal. The idea comes from Grand Island, Nebraska, mom Lisa Toner, whose daughters, Anna, 14, and Maria, 10, wanted a new way to tell friends, “You rock.” “Valentines can seem babyish to older kids,” explains Lisa. “They really need something cool.”
Family Fun Magazine provides directions and free printable to recreate this Valentine ipod in this photo here.
My SIL substituted the Reese Cups with Heresy Kisses which I think is brilliant and used red paper instead of pink! I scream…they were a HUGE hit.
Then I found another brilliant way to create a Valentine iphone with a box of Conversation Hearts with Living Locurto’s free printable. Awe, I wish I was a kid again.

What I like about these Valentine’s gifts is that they take minimal time and effort for the exchange of everyone talking wildly over your gift! This gift is so fun that adults, teens and young children will love to show off what I call Vipods and Viphones!
Thank you to Family Fun and Living Locurto for making these ideas and pintables available to create a little love to kids so they can enjoy childhood just a little more!
I can’t wait to hear if you plan on making these for some Valentines. Comment on which one you plan on making, Vipod or Viphone. Then come back after Valentine’s Day and let me know how everyone talked wildly about them!
