Most parents welcome new ideas to keep kids entertained but I am sharing this idea, actually a contest, that will entertain, get them active and help other children through The Children’s Miracle Network!
I really love contests! I love to encourage my children to enter contests because you can’t win if you didn’t put forth the effort to enter and if they win, it’s a bonus!
In 2010, Primrose Schools launched a program that gives families an opportunity to embrace healthy lifestyles and impact children in their local community at the same time through a dance contest benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This year, they’re back with their second installment of the national Family Dance-off contest, and the prizes are even bigger and better!
All you have to do is submit a 30-second home video of your family’s best dance moves any time between Feb. 1 and March 19. They will select 14 finalists based on how many votes each family’s video receives (you can vote 5 times/day), and each of the 14 finalist families will receive a Flip Video Camcorder. Viewers can then vote for their favorite weekly finalists on FamilyDanceoff.com from March 20-26. From there, their guest panel of judges will narrow it down to three winners. The grand prize winning family will receive a cash prize of $5,000 and a $30,000 donation will be made to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. The second prize winner will receive $3,000 and a $20,000 donation to their local CMN Hospital, and the third prize winner will receive $1,500 and a $15,000 donation. The grand, second and third prize winners will be announced the week of March 28.
Please visit FamilyDanceoff.com for more information, and I hope you’ll decide to join in and groove with Primrose. You can help local children in need in your community by entering and voting to bring one of their three tremendous donations to your local CMN Hospital. CMN Hospitals creates real miracles, and at Primrose, they believe in moving for miracles – please join them!
